Our Sisterhood
The DC Metro Alumni Sorority (DCMAS) Chapter of Alpha Nu Omega, Incorporated was established in 2006 as the DC Metro Sorority Alumni (DCMSA) due to the need for a localized sisterhood in Washington, DC; northern Virginia; and southern Maryland. Prior to its establishment, DCMSA was apart of the B/W Alumni Chapter. As the chapter grew and lives changed for its membership, it was decided nationally to split the chapter. From this split, the Greater Baltimore and DC Metro Alumni Chapters were formed. The ground work of the new chapter was pioneered under the distinguished presidency of Shalyta LaBoo. As a result of this split, ANΩ established the Mid-Atlantic Region with which we are a member and our name was changed to DCMAS.

The DC Metro Alumni Sorority Chapter of Alpha Nu Omega, Incorporated is committed to providing services that reach the needs of women and children of all ages within the Washington, DC/Metropolitan area. The chapter is known in the community for several signature programs such as: The Mother Daughter Sister Tea, The Women in Leadership Forum, and the Penny Pinchers Financial Series. We have a passion for reaching out to the community through volunteer activities, fitness, worship, and more. The legacy of excellence continues to flourish as the members of the DCMAS work continuously to fulfill the purpose of Alpha Nu Omega, Inc. through person-centered sisterhood, influential lifestyles, evangelistic impact, and empowerment of the whole person (spirit, soul, and body).
